Head- Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning

Education Qualification

Job Responsibilities

The Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Officer will be responsible for management of M & E Activities of the organisation. S/he will be responsible for developing impact indicators for the various projects and programmes of the organisation based on goals and objectives for each of them/theory of change; manage MIS system, evaluate the programmes with evidences reflecting the progress, achievements, gaps and leanings; suggest strategies. 
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
• To design, develop and implement the monitoring & evaluation component of each programme. 
• Periodically review the monitoring and evaluation needs of programmes. 
• Analyise information and prepare status reports reflecting intended outcomes.  
• Develop programme implementation plans with deliverable timelines.
• Develop a system for information mapping, storing and processing. 
• Develop a system for the collection of information from field and also from associate organisations; develop and use web based IT for innovative methods of collecting and sharing data.
• Implement and manage M&E systems including collating, compiling, analyzing, and reporting on the same.
• Assist in the development/adaptation of integrated M&E systems and tools in liaison with associate organizations. 
• Prepare regular reports on relevant M&E component for internal and external use. 
• Develop status reports on each project including associate NGOs based on consolidated and analysed data prior to every monitoring visit of the International Secretariat.
• Prepare written reports and statistical tables and presentations, and use standard computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
• Provide technical support on monitoring and evaluation and contribute to the development of the capacity of Heads, Field Staff and associate NGO focal persons/Directors.
• Organize sessions on existing data, data treatment and consolidation. 
• Participate in relevant programme, policy and research activities to inform and guide the M&E process
• In consultation with the Director of programmes/Director, represent Butterflies externally on M&E issues.
• Keep abreast of developments in M&E, and ensure that these are considered in the development and implementation of the same in various programmes.

Development Manager, Childrens Cooperatives

Education Qualification

Job Responsibilities

We are looking for a person who is well versed in life skills education concept and theory. Life Skills Education is an integral part of our education curriculum and is central to our two child cooperatives the Health and Khazana. Both are cooperatives where children learn democratic values, communication skills, leadership and entrepreneurship. The cooperatives are implemented in eight countries in Asia and Africa and seven states in India in partnership with local organisations. 
 
The concerned person will be heading the Children’s Cooperatives and must have knowledge of health, nutrition and finance. Preference for a person who has research background and done independent research. The candidate must have excellent writing skills. 
 
Key Responsibilities
 
1. Programme Management 
• Provide leadership role for overall management of the cooperatives programme, mentor, guide and supervise the team, manage donor agencies and partner organisations. 
• Develop evaluation and tracking system, conduct regular monitoring and evaluation, and document the same.
• Develop strategy to identify and secure suitable sources of funding and resources, develop concept notes and comprehensive proposals with budget, submit and follow up. 
• Identify training areas, plan and organize training/workshops for specific target groups. 
• Build and foster collaborative relationships with key stakeholders and partner organizations for implementation of the project activities.
• Implement programme with partner organizations.  
 
2. Advocacy/ Research    
• Bring innovation and take initiative to analyse the data and bring out research papers on various aspects of the programme and its contribution in making positive changes in the life of the children and their families. 
• Produce documents to show the impact of the programme; conduct micro/macro studies based on the learnings. 
• Produce content for e newsletter, website, relevant reports and advocacy materials for various target groups.
 
3. Monitoring and Evaluation
• Design monitoring and evaluation framework with performance indicators and targets of the programme in alien with the organisation’s impact indicators. 
• Undertake M&E visits to associate organizations for ensuring progress of the project and support to the children and staff of the associates. 
• To organize reviews, reflection exercises for evaluation and learning.

Working Experience -The candidate should have at least 5 years of experience in programme development, management, and implementation.
