\ Communication and Resource Generation

Communication is one of the basic function of management in any organization and its importance can hardly be overemphasized, as it is difficult to have human relations without communication. It is a process of communicating information, ideas, thoughts and programmes effectively and positively to the outside world. For Voluntary Development Organizations, good and effective communication is required not only for good human relations but also for raising funds successfully. At the same time, communication is essential in advocacy as it plays a very key component in sensitizing the society at large. At Butterflies, the Communication department regularly develops visual and printed communication tools like newsletters, brochures, posters etc and shares it with all the donors and supporting partners of Butterflies to update them about our activities and achievements. Further, the communications materials are also distributed during the fund raising events/ programmes organized by butterflies or by colleges and corporate bodies. The regular communication with the partners/friends ensures a sustained and long-term association with them.

As part of our efforts to mobilize individual and corporate support to our initiatives, Butterflies has developed a sustainable partnership with several national and international business houses of repute and individual donors committed to humanitarian cause. Some of the notable corporate houses supporting Butterflies are:

  HSBC
